Before 42 Historical Statue

"America owes its present strength to the heroes of its past. Their lives, deeds, and sacrifices must never be forgotten." – Executive Order 13934

Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Pioneer James Raleigh “BIZ” Mackey embodied this spirit of heroism; not on a battlefield, but on the diamond, as one of the first true global ambassadors of baseball. From shaking the hand of Japan’s Emperor Hirohito to paving the way for Jackie Robinson and countless others, Biz’s influence transcended borders, bridging cultures and creating opportunities that forever changed the game.

Posthumously, Biz has rounded the bases of history. Enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, honored at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, celebrated in the “BEFORE 42” tribute at the U.S. National Archives, and inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

Now, we invite you, to join us in ensuring his story lives on. Your support will help dedicate permanent monuments to this American hero at his hometown of Luling, Texas, and at the renowned Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.

This is your chance to “Build Monuments of a True American Hero and Baseball Pioneer.”

Donate today, and receive a limited edition signature commemorative Biz Mackey Centennial Bust and be part of preserving the legacy of one of baseball’s greatest cultural trailblazers.
